Below, are the responses to the most frequent questions that patients or potential patients ask.

It is normal and encouraged for patients to ask many questions when choosing to work with a psychologist or social worker. Please get in touch if you have additional questions.

How long is treatment? 

What is the time commitment to complete a psychological assessment?

Treatment will vary based on the client and presenting problem. Generally, we embrace time limited short term treatments and do not like to have clients in treatment for years.

Psychological Assessments are typically a one hour intake, plus two testing days (2-4 hours each) and a feedback session.

What are your fees?

We offer a free 30-minute phone or Zoom consultation to provide information about our practice, answer your questions, and determine appropriateness of service.

 

Prices for services vary by location and service (e.g., therapy, assessment, forensic services), and information about pricing will be provided during the consultation. Additionally, we provide clients with a Good Faith Estimate of the cost of our services prior to your first appointment and any time you or your child’s treatment plan is updated.

Our Psychological Assessment rates vary based on the type that is being performed but is a flat rate for the full testing, report, and feedback.

Do you take insurance?

We do not take insurance, and our considered an out of network provider. Thus we require payment for our intake session ahead of time and then after each therapy service is provided. We will issue you an itemized super bill which you can submit to your insurance company and get reimbursed depending on your in insurance plan. We encourage you to check with your plan regarding coverage before you begin with us. Our providers are all non Medicare, opted out status.

For psychological assessments we will provide all billing codes necessary to submit to your insurance company if they accept out of network provider services. We provide this at the end of the assessment but can also give you billing codes before we get started if you need prior approval.

Are our sessions private?

We take your privacy very seriously and work diligently to protect it. We provide all clients with a Notice of Privacy Practices prior to the first appointment, which tells you how we handle your medical information, when and how we might share it with others, and how you can see it. We want you to know all of this before starting services with our practice so that you can make the best decisions for yourself and your family.
